Founded in 1947.
Glen Head Country Club is regarded as one of the finest clubs on Long Island. It is situated on over 160 acres of land encompassing a 6,700 yard, par 71 Devereaux Emmet designed golf course.
The Club recently completed a $1.75 million dollar bunker renovation project, and from 2016-2017 underwent a full refurbishment of the entire first floor of the Clubhouse including the ballroom, dining rooms, kitchen, living room and patio. The Ladies Locker Room has also been remodeled and updated, including the addition of a gorgeous bridal suite.
Recently, the Long Island Golf Association celebrated its 100th anniversary. To commemorate this milestone anniversary, the LIGA produced a special video that explores the rich history of golf on Long island and celebrates those who have contributed to the game and the Association.
